Air India Express Starts Flights from Navi Mumbai International Airport

Operations at Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) began on December 25, 2025, with Air India Express launching daily flights to Bengaluru and five weekly services to Delhi.

From January 1, 2026, the airline will increase its offerings to include twice-daily flights to Bengaluru and additional daily flights to Delhi. The inaugural flight to Bengaluru was celebrated with a ceremony, where the first guest received a commemorative boarding pass.

The schedule is set as follows (local times):

  • Daily flights from Navi Mumbai to Bengaluru at 08:55, returning from Bengaluru at 06:00.
  • Flights to Delhi from Navi Mumbai at 14:05 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, arriving at 16:20. The return flights depart from Delhi at 11:15.

Starting January 1, 2026, the additional schedule includes:

  • Daily flights from Navi Mumbai to Bengaluru at 19:35, returning from Bengaluru at 16:55.
  • Daily flights to Delhi at 09:00, returning at 06:00.

Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, noted the significance of NMIA’s launch for enhancing connectivity in the Mumbai region and expressed confidence in the airport’s potential. The airline operates over 130 weekly flights from Mumbai and has recently expanded operations in Maharashtra, including Nagpur.

Air India Express has updated its onboard experience on Boeing 737-8 aircraft, featuring enhanced seating, in-seat USB ports, and upgraded cabin designs. The airline also promotes Indian heritage through its ‘Tales of India’ initiative, showcasing regional art forms on aircraft tail designs. This reflects the airline’s commitment to providing a comfortable and culturally rich flying experience.
