The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), New Delhi, marked the 11th Ayurveda Day with a series of activities focused on Ayurveda, healthy lifestyles and preventive healthcare.
The programme began with Dhanwantri Poojan. Dr. Hemant Panigrahi, Institute In-charge, performed the pooja in the presence of officers and officials of the Institute.
CARI also organised a ‘Run for Ayurveda’ as part of the celebrations. Officers, employees and patients of the Institute participated in the activity. The initiative aimed to promote awareness about Ayurveda and encourage healthy living.
Ayurveda Day Focuses on Preventive Healthcare
An Ayurveda Day lecture was also organised at the Institute. The session covered the principles of Ayurveda and the role of healthy lifestyle practices in disease prevention.
The lecture also discussed the relevance of Ayurveda in contemporary healthcare. Participants and patients were sensitised to the role of Ayurveda in promoting health and preventing diseases.
CARI also distributed medicinal plants among patients visiting the Institute. The initiative aimed to create awareness about the importance of medicinal plants. It also highlighted the need for their conservation and appropriate use.
CARI Organises Awareness Activities for Healthy Living
A press conference was organised on the occasion. Media representatives were briefed about the activities conducted by CARI and their objectives.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Shweta Mata, Research Officer (Ay.), and Dr. Ashima Jain, Research Officer (Path.). Officers and officials of the Institute also participated in the celebrations.
The activities at CARI marked the 11th Ayurveda Day by combining awareness initiatives with public engagement. The programme highlighted Ayurveda, healthy lifestyle practices and preventive healthcare while encouraging greater awareness of the traditional system of medicine.
