Jindal Stainless has signed a Technical Assistance Agreement with Japan’s JFE Steel Corporation to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities for selected ferritic stainless steel grades.
The collaboration will focus on product quality, manufacturing practices and process efficiency. JFE Steel will provide technical assistance for the ferritic stainless steel grades covered under the agreement.

Ferritic stainless steel is used across several industries. Key applications include automotive, railways, construction, kitchen equipment and industrial machinery.
The partnership is therefore aimed at supporting demand across multiple industrial and infrastructure sectors.

Jindal Stainless Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal said JFE Steel’s expertise in ferritic stainless steel manufacturing will support improvements in product quality and operational excellence.
The company said the agreement will help it access global expertise and foster innovation. It will also support the development of manufacturing capabilities for the long-term growth of its stainless steel business.
Jindal Stainless Reports 4.2 Million Tonne Melt Capacity
Jindal Stainless has an annual melt capacity of 4.2 million tonnes.
The company reported an FY26 annual turnover of ₹42,955 crore. As of March 2026, it operated 16 stainless steel manufacturing and processing facilities across India and overseas.
Its international operations include facilities in Spain and Indonesia.
The technical collaboration with JFE Steel is expected to complement Jindal Stainless’ existing manufacturing base and support its focus on quality, technology and operational efficiency.
