BEL appointments have brought new leadership to the company’s human resources and marketing functions. Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has appointed Ambrish Tripathi as Director (Human Resources) and Anoop Kumar Rai as Director (Marketing). The Ministry of Defence issued the appointment orders on August 12, 2026. BEL’s Board approved both appointments with effect from August 13.
BEL Appointments Take Effect From August 13
The BEL Board approved the appointments through circular resolution. Both appointments have also been disclosed to the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
Tripathi will serve as Director (HR) until his superannuation on December 31, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Rai will serve as Director (Marketing) until his superannuation on September 30, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Ambrish Tripathi Takes Charge as Director (HR)
Tripathi was serving as General Manager of BEL’s Kotdwar Unit since January 1, 2024. He joined BEL in 1991 as an R&D Engineer after completing his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from NIT Allahabad.
Over more than three decades with BEL, Tripathi has worked across production, material management, marketing and information systems.
He played a key role in implementing SAP across BEL and led the PSU’s first File Lifecycle Management system. He also received a Ministry of Home Affairs award for an IT process aimed at preventing corruption.
Tripathi has contributed to several major defence programmes, including IACCS, Sanjay (BSS), Akashteer and indigenous NC3I.
His work has also supported BEL’s international and civilian business. He contributed to exports of Coastal Surveillance Systems to Maldives, Seychelles and Mauritius. He also worked on civilian diversification projects, including India’s first indigenous Air Traffic Management Automation system and KAVACH 4.0 for Indian Railways.
Anoop Kumar Rai Appointed Director (Marketing)
Anoop Kumar Rai has taken charge as Director (Marketing) at BEL.
The company said Rai is not related to any existing director of BEL. It also confirmed that he is not debarred from holding the office of director under any SEBI order or other statutory authority.
Rai is also not disqualified under Section 164 of the Companies Act, 2013. His tenure will continue until his superannuation on September 30, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
BEL is a Navratna Defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence. The latest appointments strengthen the company’s leadership across human resources and marketing as it continues to expand its defence and technology operations.
