Senior Advisers Named at ADB and IMF Under ACC Order
Baldeo Purushartha moves to the Asian Development Bank in Manila. He becomes Senior Adviser to the Executive Director there. He currently serves as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs. Rahul Jain takes a similar post at the IMF in Washington DC. He serves as Senior Adviser to the Executive Director (India). Both officers will hold these posts for three years from their assumption of charge.
ACC Appoints New Ministers at Tokyo and Rome Embassies
Brij Mohan Mishra becomes Minister (Economic and Commercial) at the Embassy of India, Tokyo. He will take charge after Debjani Chakrabarti’s tenure ends on April 28, 2027. Balamurugan D. becomes Minister (Agriculture) at the Embassy of India, Rome. He succeeds Jujjavarapu Balaji, whose tenure ends December 29, 2026.
World Bank Adviser Gets Extension, ICAO Post Filled
Satyajit Mohanty becomes India’s Representative to the ICAO Council in Montreal. Hemang Jani receives a two-year extension as Senior Adviser to the Executive Director, World Bank. His extended term runs through July 16, 2029. Both postings come with conditions specified in the official order.

Several more appointments round out this order. Kapil Patidar becomes Adviser to the Executive Director (India) at the IMF. Gopalakrishnan Ganesan takes charge as Counsellor (Economic) at the Embassy of India, Washington DC. Aditya Rajendra Bhojgadhiya becomes First Secretary at India’s Permanent Mission to the WTO in Geneva. Jivisha Joshi Gangopadhyay joins as First Secretary (Legal) at the same WTO mission. Subhash Kumar becomes Director at the SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu.
