Efforts to improve capacity, efficiency, and connectivity have been greenlit by Indian Railways for significant train infrastructure upgrades in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
Trains will run more frequently and have more freight capacity thanks to the third line being built between Aunrihar and Varanasi City (31.36 km). This will improve services for passengers and local industries, as well as reduce congestion.
Improvements in services for both passenger and freight traffic, as well as increased reliability, are anticipated outcomes of the 50.06 km Ringas-Sikar line doubling project.
Improved operating efficiency, particularly during busy seasons, and better pilgrimage connectivity will result from the elimination of train reversals along the 8.60 km Ujjain bypass line.
